Ms. Sonita Sadat is a dedicated psychologist with more than seven years of professional experience in the fields of mental health, psychosocial support, psychological counseling, and child protection. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with hospitals, educational institutions, and national and international organizations, providing psychological services, professional counseling, and mental health promotion programs for individuals and communities.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Education, Herat University, Afghanistan, graduating successfully in 2019. She currently serves as a Psychologist at GSRO Organization, where she provides psychological counseling, supports vulnerable individuals, and contributes to the implementation of mental health programs.
Throughout her professional career, Ms. Sadat has worked with several reputable institutions, including Herat Regional Hospital, Afghan-Mex Hospital, Roshandelan, Pir Herat, Herat Educational Psychology Association, Avaye Mehr Kindergarten, New World Global Network, WASSA Organization, and GSRO Organization. These experiences have significantly strengthened her expertise in psychological counseling, psychosocial support, mental health services, and community-based interventions.
Her professional competencies include psychological counseling across various fields of psychology, psychosocial support, child protection, training and capacity building, conducting educational sessions, teamwork, effective communication, and the delivery of mental health services. She is fluent in Dari and English and is willing to work and travel to different regions in support of educational, humanitarian, and development initiatives.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Sadat has a strong passion for psychological research, continuous learning, and professional development. She is committed to keeping up with the latest scientific research and developments in psychology to enhance her knowledge, strengthen her professional skills, and provide evidence-based psychological services in accordance with international standards.
Ms. Sadat’s long-term vision is to become one of Afghanistan’s leading psychologists, making meaningful contributions to the advancement of mental health services, the empowerment of individuals and communities, the support of vulnerable populations, and the development of psychology through professional excellence, scientific research, education, and lifelong learning.
